The Mission Possible page goes step-by-step through an actual communication plan successfully implemented by Guilford County Schools as part of a comprehensive school reform effort. The W. K. Kellogg Toolkit provides a wealth of resources and considerations for a district in the process of crafting a communications plan. Each case study page includes an overview and key elements of a communication strategy and a resources section with links to tools and additional information. For a brief overview of each page, see the descriptions below.

Mission Possible
Mission Possible is a comprehensive teacher incentive plan launched by Guilford County Schools (GCS), North Carolina, during the 2006-2007 school year. The plan combines multiple components to keep and attract highly effective teachers and administrators for the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement in schools with critical needs. To facilitate the changes and cooperation necessary to implement the new incentive plan, the Mission Possible Office developed a communications plan that sought to invite dialogue between program officers and key stakeholders. This page outlines that plan and highlights its key elements.

W.K. Kellogg Foundation's Communications and Marketing Toolkit
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation compiled their Communications and Marketing Toolkit to help non-profit organizations use communications to achieve their social change goals. The toolkit outlines the essential elements for building an effective communications strategy and provides specific, detailed steps necessary to understand options, identify resources, plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic communications.
