DIRECTIONS
Directions to the Center for Greater Philadelphia
The Center is located on the 6th floor of the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE building (3701 Chestnut Street) in University City. (Look for a tall concrete building with lots of flags and banners.) The front desk phone number at International House is 215/387-5125.
By Car:
From Schuylkill Expressway [I-76] (from either direction)
- Take SOUTH STREET exit
- this is a left exit from both ways
- Turn WEST off exit ramp
- toward Penn & Franklin Field (cross street numbers should be getting bigger)
- if you cross bridge over Schuylkill River, you're going the wrong way
- 5 stoplights to 38th street -- RIGHT at 38th STREET
- Wawa on corner
- 2 stoplights to CHESTNUT STREET -- RIGHT on Chestnut
- Chestnut is one way heading EAST
- INTERNATIONAL HOUSE is one block away at 37th and Chestnut on the left.
Center for Greater Philadelphia offices are on the 6th floor, east side.
From Bucks County via I-95 from the North
- I-95 South to VINE STREET EXPRESSWAY (I-676 West)
- I-676 West to SCHUYKILL EXPRESSWAY East (I-76 East)
- 676 West is only two miles long -- stay in right lane
- follow signs for the Airport/Sports Complex (I-76 East)
- Take SOUTH STREET exit
- this is a left exit
- Follow "From Schuylkill Expressway" directions (see above)
From Chester County via I-95 from the South
- I-95 North to the vicinity of the Philadelphia International Airport
- Follow signs to I-76 West SCHUYKILL EXPRESSWAY (Center City Philadelphia)
- Stay right after exiting I-95
- cross George C. Platt Memorial Bridge
- left at first stop light
- access road will put you on I-76 West SCHUYKILL EXPRESSWAY
- Follow "From Schuylkill Expressway" directions (see above)
From Delaware County via Upper Darby/69th Terminal
- MARKET STREET East to 63rd Street -- RIGHT on 63RD STREET
- One block on 63rd STREET -- LEFT on CHESTNUT STREET
- International House is at 37th and Chestnut
Parking Options
- Metered parking on Chestnut Street
- $1.00 per hour (quarters only)
- you'll need 8 quarters for 2 hours of parking
- Pay parking lot at 34th & Chestnut Street, left hand side
- Pay parking lot at 38th & Walnut Streets (entrance is on Walnut, between 37th and 38th St.)
